SUPPLY LIST- 1/2" 3 ring Binder, 5 Divider Tabs (We provide all art supplies needed for this class but if your student has their own dry medium art set, they may bring it). If taking this class for high school credit, or 9th grade and up, purchase the book listed below,

Intermediate and Advanced Art instuction will range from dry medium like chalk pastel, pencil, oil pastel, markers, to clay, painting, and mixed media art. Students will learn about famous artists such as Georgia O'keeffe, Mary Cassatt, Van Gogh and others.
High school students need to have the book Let's Meet Famous Artists . We will NOT be covering all the artists, as we will also be focusing on developing each student's art styles, creativity and encouraging their love of art. Some class days will be Open Studio style for students to learn tools, how to clean and take care of supplies, and create in a comfortable , open idea setting.
This course can count as a Visual Arts Credit for a traditionally homeschooled high school transcript IF you continue to the next 6 week program. If a student is enrolled in a charter school, you MUST get written authorization from your student's teacher that they are allowed to use the course for credit, or no portfolio credit will be issued to the school.
