Art of Other Cultures:
Where did the Maori come from and why are they tattooed? Why do the aboriginals of Australia go walkabout? Why are religious symbols so common in Mexican Art? What does the art of the most ancient civilization on earth look like?
Tell a story with Australian Aboriginal paintings, fold an origami fish , make a totem pole in the Inuit style while learning about Art of other Cultures plus more! A very fun and artistic hands on learning class where your student will learn some history and recreate in their own style.
We will occasionally create a food dish from the culture we are covering. Grades 6th and up.
This course can count as a Visual Arts Credit for a traditionally homeschooled high school transcript. If a student is enrolled in a charter school, you MUST get written authorization from your student's teacher that they are allowed to use the course for credit, or no portfolio credit will be issued to the school.
