Light snacks provided, however, each art camper will need to bring lunch and water bottle each day they attend.
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Date : 2021 Days: March , 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th & 19th.
Price: $45 per full class day 9-4 or $30 for half day. Half day can be 9-12 or 1-4. Select at checkout. If using Epic Charter Schools for this camp, use coupon code EPIC and input student info.

Monday March 15th: Artists will create sculptures with clay, learn about and use chalk pastels for colorful creations on toned paper. We will make crayon melting paintings on canvas. We will be dying our own facemasks with the style we choose, whether it be a favorite character, pet portrait, custom style painting or tie-dye. (Face masks are 2 ply cotton, washable)
Tuesday, March 16th: Artists will create bright pieces on photo paper with sharpies, the colors pop. We will learn about artist Dale Chihuly and create some of our own "glass" sculptures that turn out AMAZING! Cardboard Relief art is an amazing way to create pretty much anything you can think of and we will be making characters with ours and painting them. Each one will be different and mounted on a wooden base.
Wednesday, March 17th: CANDY! We will be drawing and painting pop art candy and eating it too! Our paintings will be bright and colorful and we will learn about the origins of pop art. Artists will take a good look at themselves as we create selfie sculptures in clay, cure them and finish them off with paint and accessories. Students will learn how to needle felt and will be creating animals like birds, owls, foxes and more, adding them to branches with leaves, flowers, bees, etc.
Thursday, March 18th: We will be making decorative indoor miniature birdhouses that are really creative, colorful, and reflect our own personalities. Each one will be topped off with mini nests, eggs, birds or butterflies. Getting ready for camping and lake weather? We will be customizing swimming totes that are plastic, able to carry wet clothes while at the lake. We will create a painting using process art with bubble wrap, feathers, tissue paper and more to learn that the process of making the art should be enjoyable, and the end product doesn't have to be perfect.
Friday, March 19th: We will be making 3D Lego sculptures that are very creative, sealed together and painted. Slime will be taught by the one and only Slime Queen for campers to perfect their slime making skills, as well as containers being decorated. We will be using shrink plastic to create zentangle mini me art characters that are articulated.
Many more activities will be included that are not listed in detail above. HeartLocke Studio will aim high to keep your child feeling at ease, creative and accomplished.
